They just arrived! They're soooo, mini? lol

Now if I could find the instructions I downloaded... The Minivation site is down, anyone got them handy?

It looks pretty straight forward, I just like to make sure before drilling holes.

No worries, I didn't think they would arrive for the weekend. Gives me something to do next week.

Thanks again for your efforts to bring in the hinges, Cameron. Now if I can get around to installing them. They look great.

Glad to hear it made it there alright Louis. I'll be excited to see these getting fitted to everyone's cars. Can't wait to get my car back and pop them onto mine.

Thanks for all the legwork, hassle, etc.

Hinges and seal are received. Hinges look great. Much beafier than original. Will see how they fit later, still working on new (to me) house as the priority.

Will see about sending some extra for shipping/PayPal expenses. I am just not very good with PayPal. So may contact you offline, if I can't figure it out.

Alright guys,  everything shipped.  I've sent everything 2 day express  so hopefully everyone will have their stuff by Friday  afternoon.  Even you lucky ones in Hawaii.  haha.

One again,  sorry it took so long.  we had some serious crap go down in the field and it consumed all  of my free time for a week. And  my local post office  just down the street from my home was blown away with the massive tornado in May,  so I have to ship through a neighboring town who closes at 1pm.  haha

Anyway, all should be in order.  Thanks again to those who paid a bit extra for  shipping and exchange rate increase.

Just want to say thanks again to those who have sent the extra money. It is very showing of the community, and those who want to keep it alive/make it better.

I should have hinges sometime this week. They were posted on Friday, and it's 3-5 days shipping usually. After that, I'll re-package everything into individual packages and get them started shipping out to everyone else. Like I said, I'm gonna be paying about half of the shipping to everyone out of pocket, so I'm gonna try to get creative with shipping options while still keeping the packages themselves safe. So hang in there with me if it takes me a few extra days to get them to you. But I can guarantee them before Christmas... That's something, right? haha. Just kidding. They will post rather quickly.

Thanks again for hanging in there, guys.

Seriously, thanks to everyone who sent extra. And thanks to those of you who went above and beyond. You know who you are, and it's great to know there are people like you out there. I've spoken with Ben. He was assembling our hinges last night and today. He's hopeful that he might be able to get them in the mail to me today. The average shipping time is 3-5 days, so if all goes well, I might be able to get them to you guys by the end of next week!.

Done. And it's still less than if I had ordered them and the seal myself. Thanks again!

Thanks guys. IF you want to pay the overage, it's about $7 a person. Like I said, I'm OK with covering the difference. I should have asked the PayPal guy twice about fees instead of taking his word on the first try. And the exchange rate.. who knew that it would be calculated out to the thousandths place. Honestly, the fees were the biggest part, not the exchange rate. The "fee" in question is a currency exchange fee that the PayPal representative didn't tell me would be charged... even though I asked. It was about $50. wahoo!

Anyway, if anyone WANTS to pay the difference, it's about $7 a person. If you don't feel you should/need to pay it, that's ok. I understand that it's more than I initially asked in order to cover it, and I will just eat the cost.

Live and learn.

Just let me know the extra amount for my order and I'll shoot you that amount via PayPal. It's not through any fault of yours that the exchange rate has changed, I am happy to cover the cost of my order. Thanks for all your efforts to pull this together for us. Cheers, John

well, I've paid for the invoice. so the hinges will be on their way to me as soon as Ben can get them in the mail. Unfortunately, there was apparently an increase in exchange rate, and some hidden PayPal fees that I wasn't expecting. So it looks like I will be paying a pretty penny for my hinges. basically double. I'm gonna have to cover everyone's shipping out of pocket. So my hinges will actually end up costing me about $190. haha. Oh well, none of you guys will see an increase. These hinges better be worth it, now. lol

Anyway, should be shipping sometime next week.

After this  group buy, I might  do another one.  All  depends on how this one turns out.  I personally didn't save much money.  haha. I  had to cover fees on a couple transactions, and I paid double for my shipping just to make the price lower for everyone. But there are a couple awesome guys that gave me a few extra bucks to buy a nice beer, so I might be alright. Haha.

if you have a clubman, van, mk3, or some other variant I'm not thinking of, check their website and Facebook. The clubman hinges are almost done now and they are always innovating.

Oh the agony that they're not for Mk.1.

I even have a new pair of quick-releases for Mk 3 that I forgot to specify when I bought them.

Sorry, David. The invoice came in and I've already set it into motion for the order. I am sorry I couldn't get a hold of you, but you have no information in your profile or anywhere on the site, and I asked everyone if they knew you. I also posted a thread calling for you to contact me.

I'm sure you could get another group buy going, especially with Minivation coming out with their clubman hinges very soon.
