A Moke is a good idea. One really doesn't understand Minis until spending time with a Moke. Start with a Saloon. Remove all the stuff that's not necessary and one ends up with a Moke. There has been a beautifully restored Moke (in the S.E.) mentioned recently that is likely to go up for auction sometime in 2018.
There is also a '64 firetruck pickup (which you know about) and a '68 Mk II Cooper S Liverpool Police car that are likely to go up for sale early in 1968.

whee.. congrats on buying mini movers. pick up. I have two mokes in stock. one very nice UK moke ( $60k spend on the resto.) and one new choke.. both listed on the for sale page.. felix navidad... bc www.montecarlomini.net

Ok, the pickup is taken care of, so onto other interesting Minis...maybe a Moke, but what else is out there?

Spit.... the hornet looks like a very tidy car, as for the lights I think they are a distraction and I would
remove them unless spirited night driving was in order.
The lights on my mini in the avatar are CIBI Oscars, Driving & Fog lights installed by the previous owner.
If you have ever driven with excellent lights at night and then use only your original lights it's like driving with no lights on.
also 10" wheels would look better on the Hornet IMHO.

Whee, My pickup was originally used by a hospital in Kent (England) just for that purpose; i.e., being able to start against a fire giving time for the big boys to arrive.
The S.A. truck would have been made originally with those doors.

A bench front seat for a mini pick up, where does the e-brake fit or for that matter does the gear shift clear of the seat ?

I have a 64 Mini pickup from South Africa I am finishing up for a customer. It will be in his wedding end of the Month in October, but I think it could be pried from his hands after that. Shoot me a message, and we can talk if your interested. It has a S.A. 1275 rod change in it. By no means original, but more of mild custom driver. Just finished making a bench seat for it that is at the upholsterer.
