I thought I had replied to this thread already, but apparently not.  I guess I wasn't very creative at the time so I just used my name.  I don't have a hard time remembering it that way!  Besides, if I took something from my Mini it'd be the color and I'll be d**ned if I used "blurple"!

Life ain't no use, if you ain't got the boost.  The boost you get from Loosener's!   Loosener's Caster Oil Flakes, the "All Weather Breakfast".

Last name came from my father.

First name was from his colonel in the First Special Service Force (WWII), Daniel Gallagher.

Middle name comes from my mother's brother (as in "Bob's yer uncle".

A name I have good reason to be proud of!

I put in "Mc" in front of all my screennames.  (McVanagon, McJag,  etc..)   Someone already had McMini, so I changed it a little.

Mc are the first two letters of my last name.

geoO - perhaps speedpilots been a lurker for years ...his User ID says he's been registered less than 6 months.  Still, the profile comment is valid.  It helps the community if viewed as a resource rather than an imposition or an invasion of one's "privacy".

speedpilot, how have you gotten by so long with nothing in your profile? Newbies catch heck for that.... Wanted to see where you pilot a cab.

As for me, i join the simple sorts who just use their own name GeoO for George Olson, and I use some acceptable variation of that on every log-in so i can remember.

"Skunkwerks" is a term for an "unofficial", off the record division or group of people doing a special project or design. Some of the best designs/tuning in the automotive world were done by these groups. Chowchilla is a small town in Central Ca.

Travis: I remember (.) the infamous dot man. But I think the board started in 95 or 96.  99 was when MM started requiring log in names so the board was up a few years before that with seperate chat and parts/for sale areas.

As for my screen name; I am a taxi driver by trade.  I get paid to pilot customers to where they are going quickly.

From my parents, my college mates, and a move to the South.

Before college I was "N. Jay"; first initial, middle name like R. Buckminster Fuller or F. Scott Fitzgerald. My college mates and a later move to Atlanta, GA shortened it to N. J.
