Here's a pic of one of my wagons that I had, Ilove big wagons and would love to have another but no room in the garage with all the Minis! And there is no way any of the Minis are leaving
Grille still holding steady!

The official Ford site does not have towing specs posted for the Flex. Must still be "unrated".

And when they make nice looking wagons, Audi. Mercedes, BMW, etc, they are all 5 seaters blah. All I need is a handsome wagon that can carry 6 with their luggage to and from SoCal to Texas.

I just don't understand why they can't bring back the big station wagons, I had three b-bodys, two Buicks, one Chevy They all got roughly 27 miles a gallon (even the one with over 130,000 miles) and could tow quite a bit and fit a large family and all their stuff, even had a the way cool third row seat. And they look absolutely killer with very minor modifications. Why does everything have to be an SUV?? Blah! Grille still holding steady!

the thing that SHOCKED me was that the stylist of the Flex was bragging at a press conference about how he "re-invented the two color paint job" because he used a white roof (!).
I couldn't believe my ears when he said that.
Later, in the magazine articles, the journalists were making fun of his ignorance, or arrogance, for having missed the oh-so-obvious BMW Mini (who deserve credit for rejuvenating the two tone paint job), and also, to a lesser degree, the Toyota FJ. A professional car stylist should know better than that, about his own industry!
What a dumb*ss.
Anyway, the Flex is not a bad looking truck, if you want a truck. I much prefer the Edge, but the Flex is supposed to be a big station wagon, and for that maybe it succeeds. Too bad this is not what the market wants now.
Ford passed on the new Focus (Europe got it, and we got a mild facelift of the old one), and really missed the boat, because if they had that new Focus here now they'd be selling like hotcakes. They just announced their plans to bring over a great number of their wonderful European cars, but it will take them 3 ~ 5 years to do it now, and when they do how much do you want to bet it will be "too little too late". They will be losing money by trainloads in the meantime.

Not nearly enough. I test drove one over the weekend. The mpg is still horrible.
