I wish I could say that I was never stupid enough to pull a cap when hot.  I have that stupid scar to prove that I was that stupid.  I hope yours was not as bad as mine.

Hope it heals up good. Believe it or not there are people out there that do this kind of thing. In high school mech. class we convinced one kid to hold onto a spark plug from a 351ci while it was turned over to check for spark. Not very nice but he learned.....once he picked himself up off the floor. Of coarse we all thought it was funny as hell.

Did you guys know that boiling hot water will come flying out of the radiator cap if removed when hot!  OOOUCH!!!!
