Yes, and since he's not due back at work in Thailand until mid-July, Bogdan will be logging the miles up and down the rev range to break-in the motor and shake down the Mini. He has rebuilt front hubs, new HD control arms, aircraft grade suspension fastners etc. as the car has been given a good mechanical sorting up front.

Hey Mousey, What magic windscreen sealer did you have in that little hand pump oil can? I've got a minor front seal weep that begs for the lock strip to come out and some resealing to be done. Rick

Here's Bogdan with a big smile as his cam is run in tonight (June 4th). With engine breakin and Mini shakedown to get underway tomorrow, hopefully all will be ready for our departure on June 22nd for MMW. 
With the fresh power unit build in the car for nearly 8 weeks while Bogdan did another 6 weeks flying helicopters to oil rigs off Thailand, the oil pump needed priming before we could see pressure and fire the 1293 up. New crank, new pistons/rings, new cam, new bearings, new rebuilt head, and new Aldon Yellow for the ala "S" build, new gears tranny build among other bits. Forcedindie built the tranny. Martin W. built the engine and assembled the power unit. Installed Pertronix in Aldon dizzy before fireup through new Flame Thrower coil. 2,500 rpm run in was flawless with oil/filter change to be made. On the road tomorrow/today (it's late/early)! California first stop!!
