What can transform a peaceful sylvan lawn in Gold Country into a carnival overnight? The annual Mini Mania Open House and Lawn Party of course! Those who were there got to see first hand all the eye candy, but for those who were not, the Mini's ranged from an electric Moke to a VTEC powered Classic, to Randy Steven's tricked out CVT to Robert Holt’s Purple Haze convertible to three full on Mini race cars: my sprint car, Jacques Andres' enduro car and Eric and Colin Herricks's rally car, and many in between.

Race Report -USTCC

Infineon Raceway, April 11, 2008.

My Mini has a new setup for this race. Speed parts from my sponsor Mini Mania have been added by my sponsor Bay Bridge Motors and USTCC sponsor Nitto has provided four brand new NT 01 tires. This will be my first official race with the US Touring Car Championship and I look forward to hitting the grid with more horsepower and quicker lap times.

MINI Clubman Review

The new MINI was launched in 2001, to much acclaim. Although bigger than the original Mini, what it lacked in rear legroom, it made up for in unusual styling and a vast array of personalisation elements, much loved by a local estate agent.

The MINI Clubman has the same raft of options but its main benefit is the extra length, which should make rear passengers happier.

I'd wear it, Cheese, to ward off evil spirits like:  fuel injection...automatic transmissions...BLMC/Rover/BMW...wheel covers made to look like mag wheels...rubber bumpers...road racing on anything BUT roads...nomex driving gloves instead of stringbacks...pseudo sports cars from the Orient...and more...

...yeah, ya hadda be there. Like I told pixieracing, I started working as an SCCA corner worker in 1964 because of that fragrance. You don't sniff the can... you have to burn the stuff and sniff the smoke. Aaahhhhhh...

Do you wear cologne with scents you enjoy?  Or do you wear it to attract others?    If you were wearing it to enjoy your own scent, ok...But if you were wearing Castrol R40 to attract others, I would caution you.  The kind of gal who would follow her nose to the source of old motor oil might be a little be a little more "rough around the edges" that the man would enjoy.

I have 2 quarts of original new unopened castrol r40 racing oil and one half a can .  from the 60's  this oil will bring back the smell of the old racing days , I use to put a little bit in my oil and made the memories come back ,oh that smell.   Or in the pits we would drop a bit on a hot manifold  ,   to get the racing fever up.   well its your for $10.00   shipping extra.
