What can transform a peaceful sylvan lawn in Gold Country into a carnival overnight? The annual Mini Mania Open House and Lawn Party of course! Those who were there got to see first hand all the eye candy, but for those who were not, the Mini's ranged from an electric Moke to a VTEC powered Classic, to Randy Steven's tricked out CVT to Robert Holt’s Purple Haze convertible to three full on Mini race cars: my sprint car, Jacques Andres' enduro car and Eric and Colin Herricks's rally car, and many in between.

Race Report -USTCC

Infineon Raceway, April 11, 2008.

My Mini has a new setup for this race. Speed parts from my sponsor Mini Mania have been added by my sponsor Bay Bridge Motors and USTCC sponsor Nitto has provided four brand new NT 01 tires. This will be my first official race with the US Touring Car Championship and I look forward to hitting the grid with more horsepower and quicker lap times.

MINI Clubman Review

The new MINI was launched in 2001, to much acclaim. Although bigger than the original Mini, what it lacked in rear legroom, it made up for in unusual styling and a vast array of personalisation elements, much loved by a local estate agent.

The MINI Clubman has the same raft of options but its main benefit is the extra length, which should make rear passengers happier.

If you are near an Autozone, they can read the trouble code. They may or may not clear them but it's a start.

Chris, if the the service engine light is on, there should be an error code in the computer - any idea what the error code is?  The pulley upgrade by itself does not trigger a light - there must be something else causing this...  Any MINI/BMW shop should be able to read the code for you..

Thanks for the reply. I'll give that a shot and see if i can find a leak.

sorry the car is an '03S and no aftermarket FPR or ECU, just the pulley and 1 heat range colder

Irridium NGK's, and full Alta Intake.

can you recomend an FPR?

I Had this problem on one of my cars.  I would disconnect the battery again check all of the vacuum hoses and all of your fittings.  I had a small pin hole leek in one of my lines.. 

If you put a boost gauge in the car check the lines there.  If you have an after market electronic fuel regulator hard wired into your cars computer this might also be causing a problem. 

You can test your CPU by opening your super chargers bypass valve and unplugging your fuel regulator and turning on the car(your car should act like there is not charger on it). You can also check the CPU, if I remember mine has a series of lights on it that gave information on how it was performing.

I installed the 15% supercharger pulley, and aftre i pluged the batt back in the check engine light is on, car runs great no noticable problems with the car very happy with the pulley, Our local mini dealer sucks, they tell me that they dont know whats wrong and want to see how long im willing to to pay them to find the issue, Anyone else have this issue??
