When the Andersen Brothers built their Cub in Liverpool, which was a BETTER galvanised version of a Moke, they did away with the rear subframe all together. They mounted the Radius arms direct to the Body. You could Google, Andersen Cub, and see how it was constructed. Very clever.

Ages ago I sold a mini with a similar setup, the new owner could never figure out why it had a wild steering fault, it took ages to figure out that one whole side had stressed the subby mounts enough to tear them out, it was flexing out!!! We welded in thick steel plates with captive nuts on the back ends of the cills to reinforce, thus if you go for this make sure you have strong enough mounting areas.

No more cars left, Westpaminis is now just a memory, Good luck to all those hard working dealers left out there, We can tell you its not easy. We have fully enjoyed meeting all the fine folks we have in the business.

I have one set up on the targa mini.. I also think it iscrap.. but what do I know.. I did loads of welding to support the extra stress on the shell.

I have no experience with such things, however, I have never read anything GOOD about having coil-overs on a mini.

It sure does look cool.

I dig it.

OK, After about 2 mins. of google searching I found one.

Not sure if it is the one I have heard of before. Anyone know anything about these?

I believe that I read somewhere on the net about a replacement for a standard rear subframe. If memory serves it was a very simple looking attachment but I believe it weighs much lighter than a stock subframe.

Anyone heard of this before?
