Thanks Jim,
I missed our LIMENY.org annual Spring Fling yesterday around Long Islands "forks". I was leary of the reliability... but Nick will have it Dyno'd later this week and it should be good to go. Looking forward to see how the Minitastic Springs work, especially your "touring" up front and the "fast road" in the rear.

Just got word from the Nick at Modern Performance in West Long Branch NJ. He has my car fully operational and I can pick it up today.. Nick is the PerfectPower ECU dealer on the East Coast and installed my PiggyBack ECU several years ago. He installed a new vacuum take-off in the throttle body intake plenum and installed a GM MAP sensor there. He then installed a "positive pressure" MAP sensor where Vmax had the original MAP sensor located.
When I ordered my SC Kit I had Vmax install two Injectors into the intake plenum. Nick now has the engine programmed to start with the GM MAP sensor firing one of the 2 injectors. He then programmed the piggyback to fire the 2nd injector as boost builds, using the positive pressure MAP sensor in the original Vmax position in the supercharger intake.

Due to the conflict of opinions, I would take the supercharger off and have a shop put in another vaccum port farther away from the supercharger entry. Then you could hook up the ecu to it and see if that works. While the supercharger is off, I would verify that the system works with the stock setup. Just incase something has begun to malfunction with the sensors or other to prevent it from starting since you installed the vmax kit.

I am in the process of trying to get my 1380 cc SPI with the VmaxScart Supercharger working properly. Am looking to others that have done this supercharger install on an injecetd Mini to help me sort out my MAP issues. I have the Rover ECU with a programmable PerfectPower piggyback ECU and this setup has been great up to this performance improvement.
The issue seems to be that I had Vmax install a vacuum take0ff for the MAP sensor at the inlet side of the M45 Supercharger. The engine won't start 95% of the time and when it does it will not respond to throttle control.
I am told that by an experienced local tuner, that the vacuum takeoff while at the entry to the supercharger, is too close to the rotating vanes and actually goes positive in pressure when I am cranking over the engine and is not providing the vacuum necessary for the MAP sensor to take control of the fueling. Since it won't run more than a minute or so, I haven't verified this.
VmaxScart claims this has worked for them on other installs including an MPI with just a stock Rover ECU, but it doesn't seem to work for me. Anyone experienced in this area?
