What can transform a peaceful sylvan lawn in Gold Country into a carnival overnight? The annual Mini Mania Open House and Lawn Party of course! Those who were there got to see first hand all the eye candy, but for those who were not, the Mini's ranged from an electric Moke to a VTEC powered Classic, to Randy Steven's tricked out CVT to Robert Holt’s Purple Haze convertible to three full on Mini race cars: my sprint car, Jacques Andres' enduro car and Eric and Colin Herricks's rally car, and many in between.

Race Report -USTCC

Infineon Raceway, April 11, 2008.

My Mini has a new setup for this race. Speed parts from my sponsor Mini Mania have been added by my sponsor Bay Bridge Motors and USTCC sponsor Nitto has provided four brand new NT 01 tires. This will be my first official race with the US Touring Car Championship and I look forward to hitting the grid with more horsepower and quicker lap times.

MINI Clubman Review

The new MINI was launched in 2001, to much acclaim. Although bigger than the original Mini, what it lacked in rear legroom, it made up for in unusual styling and a vast array of personalisation elements, much loved by a local estate agent.

The MINI Clubman has the same raft of options but its main benefit is the extra length, which should make rear passengers happier.

Well, look on the bright side. At least he has a 50/50 chance of not being "that guy".... 

You know, the one that leaves his turn signal on for 100 miles...

My right turn signal has the same problem, but it was due to lose wiring. Everytime I hit a bump the right signal might or might not work after that. For a quick fix i would just wiggle the wires leading towards the signal until it starts blinking again.

Was the signal relay changed recently? If there is not a plug for the wires, it is possible the wires are mixed up.

OH YES...THE IMFAMOUS HAZARD SWITCH....Since the bulbs all light up I think that would be a place to check! I had forgotten about that one. it's happened to me before.

Often, when a car (any car, not just Minis) has a burnt out bulb it does one of two things: Either it flashes quickly or comes on and stays on. It depends on the type of car and the type of flasher unit. When the load on the flasher unit is changed, it does not get enough  current to trip on and off. The opposite occurs when you add a trailer... the load becomes heavier and it ususally flashes too fast.

The remedy for a Mini is to first check the bulbs.

For a trailer related problem, get a heavy duty flasher - they are not load sensitive.

I would still suspect the hazard switch..had a similar symptom before..migth be able to swap the wires side to side on the hazard switch and see if the problem moves to the other side..good luck

Hi, I do not have my wiring diagram again (on loan) and a fellow has come in with a wierd one. Hazards, and right turn signal work (flash) left comes on and will not flash. It's a 1991 Cooper (carbed) Any ideas?
