What can transform a peaceful sylvan lawn in Gold Country into a carnival overnight? The annual Mini Mania Open House and Lawn Party of course! Those who were there got to see first hand all the eye candy, but for those who were not, the Mini's ranged from an electric Moke to a VTEC powered Classic, to Randy Steven's tricked out CVT to Robert Holt’s Purple Haze convertible to three full on Mini race cars: my sprint car, Jacques Andres' enduro car and Eric and Colin Herricks's rally car, and many in between.

Race Report -USTCC

Infineon Raceway, April 11, 2008.

My Mini has a new setup for this race. Speed parts from my sponsor Mini Mania have been added by my sponsor Bay Bridge Motors and USTCC sponsor Nitto has provided four brand new NT 01 tires. This will be my first official race with the US Touring Car Championship and I look forward to hitting the grid with more horsepower and quicker lap times.

MINI Clubman Review

The new MINI was launched in 2001, to much acclaim. Although bigger than the original Mini, what it lacked in rear legroom, it made up for in unusual styling and a vast array of personalisation elements, much loved by a local estate agent.

The MINI Clubman has the same raft of options but its main benefit is the extra length, which should make rear passengers happier.

Mark, my seats are actually black with grey piping to match the door cards and panels. They look white though in the pics. Your seats are in good shape, remember, they are original!!!!!  Thats what makes them nice!

I really like Macmanron's seats with the white piping. My brother in law is having his redone with black outer, gray inner, and light gray piping. Can't wait to see them, I'll post pics when I do. I am a big fan of colored seats. I think your idea of a combo of red/black/white, especially with your car colors. I would stray from white panels, or solid black, as one looks like a boat, the other may look like cheap covers. Mine are stock Cooper S green and gray, so I won't even post.

Okay, just completed putting in a new wiring harness in my 65 Mk1 morris mini, replaced the dissy with a 123 and rewelded new metal in the doors, repainted roof white with pearl and doors back to original classic red. Since I tore up the interior cards, have ordered new cumulous gray interior cards from Newton and a black carpet set with red trim (not standard, but looks nice!). Now the seats look REAL taddy, so have found a custom installer, whose done my rods for years, to re-upholster the Mk2 type seats (non-reclining, low backs) and am now trying to decide color schemes. Bolster, inserts and piping.

Exterior of car is classic red with pearl white roof, white morris grill, & interior cumulous gray with black carpet. Have pretty much decided on red with gray insert and gray piping on the seats, but would like to see other choices for seats before I committ...

Please post your seats here! There is so many creative people here that it should be interesting for all of us!
