Mini Mania Open House and Lawn Party
by Jerry (Siddhartha) Bradbury
What can transform a peaceful sylvan lawn in Gold Country into a carnival overnight? The annual Mini Mania Open House and Lawn Party of course! Those who were there got to see first hand all the eye candy, but for those who were not, the Mini's ranged from an electric Moke to a VTEC powered Classic, to Randy Steven's tricked out CVT to Robert Holt’s Purple Haze convertible to three full on Mini race cars: my sprint car, Jacques Andres' enduro car and Eric and Colin Herricks's rally car, and many in between.

Race Report -USTCC

Infineon Raceway, April 11, 2008.
by Jerry (Siddhartha) Bradbury
My Mini has a new setup for this race. Speed parts from my sponsor Mini Mania have been added by my sponsor Bay Bridge Motors and USTCC sponsor Nitto has provided four brand new NT 01 tires. This will be my first official race with the US Touring Car Championship and I look forward to hitting the grid with more horsepower and quicker lap times.

MINI Clubman Review

Published: 21st April 2008
The new MINI was launched in 2001, to much acclaim. Although bigger than the original Mini, what it lacked in rear legroom, it made up for in unusual styling and a vast array of personalisation elements, much loved by a local estate agent.

The MINI Clubman has the same raft of options but its main benefit is the extra length, which should make rear passengers happier.

Still need 1 tire, preferably Falken, but not essential, with at least half tread left on it.

Mike I emailed you back about the Yoko tire, but not sure if you got my email. Anyone else have a tire they can sell me? I can send you the money by Paypal.

thanks

anyone know roughly the size and weight for shipping mini tires?

the UPS/FedEx estimation websites ask for dimensions and weight, but I was too preoccupied last night to measure those two simple things!

culttv: email sent last night from my home email, with photos and descriptions

all's I need now is to estimate shipping.....

Use Fed Ex for shipping.. I ship tires this way with them being shrink wrapped with no problems at all.

I have 3 half-worn (and a little bit unevenly worn) tires that I just replaced with new rubber (to celebrate an all-new suspension + 4 wheel alignment) that I was hanging on to, but with no clear plan for.

I guess I'd let them go for $20 each + postage.

Hopefully I can just wrap them in plastic wrap and ship without a box like the big tire companies do!

Sold my set of 165/70R12's , now i need a set of 60R12's. $89.99 each? Yeah right, like i can afford 4 of those.

If anyone has a set of 4 they want to sell, please let me know, part worn ok as long as they have more than half tread left on them and they are not old split rubber. Part worns would last me ages considering it only gets driven about 1000 miles per year if that !

Reply here or privately

Oh,and if I were to put only 2 new tires, should I do the front or the rears?
