Hey Dean, I just bought myself a '73 Authi Cooper 1300. It appears from your catalog picture that I very well may have all the original gauges if you want the numbers off them (Can't sell them though). Do you have two interior roof lights? Does your enigne leak oil out of a mysterious hole on the the bottom passenger side?

Nope, wood wheels are nice and slick... that's why you are required to wear leather driving gloves (preferably stringback) when using them.... Bill

Mart, I'm sure lots of people would be interested in RHD repros. I can get the gauges installed without that specific dash, so I'm not in a big hurry to get my hands on it. You can hold on to it for a while to make a mold. Thanks to the Interstate Highway System, it is now possible to travel from coast to coast without seeing anything. Charles Kuralt Autox/Rallyx Videos

yeah, i did a test mold out of just the dials section, which worked ok, but then when i tried to make a fibreglass copy it all gelled in the mold and made a big mess. that was my 1st attempt at working with FG... i'd like to make another mold as the first one was scraped, but i'm not sure i'll have time before MME. too much stuff to do before!! keep me posted on how you want this done! cheers

Unfortunately, no. I'm going to NY next weekend and will be returning sometime in late July. I can't do another trip all the way to Maine in between. I assume that means you are or can get the part there somehow. I will post soon to see if anyone from my area is going. Otherwise, we can ship it. It shouldn't be much and I'll foot the bill on it. Were you the person with the idea of copying them and making a rhd version? Thanks to the Interstate Highway System, it is now possible to travel from coast to coast without seeing anything. Come on, Pete, don't you remember what it's like to own Minis over here? You shouldn't say stuff like that. Mark, That sounds like a plan. I was wondering if there was a special treatment for steering wheels, since they can't be slippery. I still haven't removed the engine from the car. My neighbor is going to give me a hand with that this weekend. Once out, I can hopefully figure out what the engine corresponds to in an English Mini. Fingers crossed, I'll have a good gearbox that will fit up to the 1275 with no crank clearance issues. Does anyone have a picture of a Ducelier dizzy to post? The one on the engine is definitely different than any I've seen. Thanks to the Interstate Highway System, it is now possible to travel from coast to coast without seeing anything. Neat Mini. I like to see the start to a new project. I would think a light sanding with fine grit sandpaper and a nice coat of varnish will do wonders for the rim. Then some mid grade steel wool for the spokes should shine them up good. Have fun with your new toy. Mark

Such a shame, I have a complete mini roof that you could have, too bad its in the UK in my back yard. I had to give away all of my other mini sheet metal just to get rid of it, no one would buy doors (complete) a boot lid or bonnet for any amount of money, It was hard enough to get someone to take the stuff.
Keep us posted on the rebuild. peter No more cars left, Westpaminis is now just a memory, Good luck to all those hard working dealers left out there, We can tell you its not easy. We have fully enjoyed meeting all the fine folks we have in the business.

Stieve, The dash came with the car. It's just currently on loan to another board member. I missed the link, but would be scared to look at what they go for! Doug, I'm sure I'll need help with gauges. I'll have a couple not found on Clementine. NC and back would be a good shakedown run! I do hope to get the kids down there later in the summer to see the other grandparents. Congratulations! It's not fair that you're so far away now. I want to see that car. So... what can I do to help by long-distance? Doug L.

Sorry, Herman. I feel bound to keep as many of the parts together as I can.
I'm not normally one for originality, but this is one of the rarer Minis ever made. I'll autocross it, but it won't be driven in rallycross, snow, or even rain when avoidable. I'd be hurtin' if I didn't have another one to beat on! Thanks to the Interstate Highway System, it is now possible to travel from coast to coast without seeing anything. Last one. This is from a magazine ad. I doubt my interior is original. My seats look like the standard, low back seats that came originally in my MkIV 1000. Fortunately, the seats and interior are in good condition. Thanks to the Interstate Highway System, it is now possible to travel from coast to coast without seeing anything.
