Howard, That sounds good to me. My dad's rig takes up quite a bit of space, and we should have the mini in tow behind us on a trailer. YOu have to go aound to the back of the fairgrounds for the camping. We should be there early around noon? When it gets closer I will get more information. See you all there!!!!!! 1966 Austin Cooper S 1965 Triumph TR4A 1965 Triumph Spitfire We don't need no stinkin' BMW's

Ron...have you any idea what time you're getting there on Friday? I plan to be there early in the afternoon, and will head straight to the camping area to unload, then over to the Spridget tent on the show field. Not knowing the rules and regs at the fairgrounds, I thought it might be nice if you could hold me a camping spot near you and Pops if you beat me there. I'll do the same for you guys if I arrive first. I'll call you from the road that day to coordinate things.

Ok, It's official, I will be bringing the mini to Carlisle! Most likely I will trailer it up, and park next to pops in the Motor home. I think MiniWorld may be interested in doing some shots of all the Classic minis attending so please show up with your car! I may have my car photograohed for miniworld there? I am still trying to work out a shirt for the event. Most likely it would cost no more than $10.00 per shirt. Is there anyone here bringing their new mini to the show, or should I just make it a classic minis at Carlisle shirt? Let me know. Thanks, Ron J. 1966 Austin Cooper S 1965 Triumph TR4A 1965 Triumph Spitfire We don't need no stinkin' BMW's

Anybody going to Carlisle with a Mini that is shiny, cheeky, rapid and delicious enough to be featured in MiniWorld? I'm the North American correspondent and always looking for stories for the magazine. I write about kit cars as well as Minis so I'll probably go to the show to play with Cobras and so on. Also keeping my eye open for mad Minis for a book. Maddest so far is Mad Frank's big-block V8 in Belgium, although Minissan and the Georgia rotary come close. Anybody who wants to send me some sample pics at ayre@dccnet.com do feel free.

I took it in 2006. There's a picture on the web page to prove it. Yeah, I don't stray far from home. Three or four miles is about it. I only do Flight Systems because it's mostly downhill for me to get there.

Were you counting me in on that count of 2 Chuck?? I had a tough time hanging with you on 611 yesterday. That was all the mighty 850 could do.

I know!
I just don't think I can swing the 8 ~ 10 hours each way, even in a Camry, into my schedule.
Thanks for the email, I will review these with my body guy (the hood might be in about the same shape as mine, though, is the concern).

kerr...email of the bonnet and LH door just sent. Save the airfare and shipping costs by driving the Camry to Carlisle.

I have been thinking bout the shirt idea, something with the cars on the front? Maybe minis at Carlisle 2008. Maybe I can work something up in the next couple of days and post it to see what kind of interest there is. Most likely will be a white t-shirt, with a couple of colors to make it VERY cheap for all. Since I will be doing the printing I am not worried about a profit, just the cost of the shirt and the print. Stay tuned listners! 1966 Austin Cooper S 1965 Triumph TR4A 1965 Triumph Spitfire We don't need no stinkin' BMW's

I should be there, only saturday though. I will be taking the mini out as long as I can fix my cv that I broke yesterday while autocrossing Any more talk of getting t-shirts made up? I know of at least two other mini owners who dont use the board that should be there, one should have his mini. -Seth

I'll be there, saturday, shopping for Midget body panels (the count is now up to a bonnet, boot LH door and lower front panel).
But, alas, won't have time to drive my mini, so will fly and then will be taking my panels to a shipping store to spend a lot of money for them to get them home for me!

I'll be under the Sprite tent, but will be on the lookout for the Mini's. As it appears there may not be enough Mini's to warrant a tent, I hope you guys at least all park together so we can have a gathering spot.
