Extra Servicing For MINI (04 Dec 04) MINI has been offering a five-year/50,000-mile servicing package called MINI tlc for all its models since 2001. The price has remained constant since then, but as from January 1 it's going up to £150.   From the same date, an extension to the package will be launched. This one is called MINI tlc XL and it takes the servicing deal up to eight years or 80,000 miles. It costs £300 if bought separately from the basic tlc, or £450 (no discount for quantity, then) if you go for both at once. All prices include VAT.   All this seems likely to improve the already sturdy resale value of the MINI range. "This new service package will add to the public’s already strong confidence in MINI," says Richard Crosthwaite, prestige editor of industry watchers Glass's Guide. "As it’s one of the slowest depreciating cars on the market, MINI tlc XL looks set to help this performance continue."
