NMX2005 - CHROME ROOF FITTING INSTRUCTIONS   Download these instructions in PDF Format   Mini Mania recommends professional installation for this product.
1. Carefully clean the surface of original roof using a degreasing industrial product (such as 3M "8984"). Remove front and rear pillars, safety belts, and high passenger handle.		2. Remove the sealing band from the edge of original roof.
3. The sealing band has to be carefully unfitted from the whole edge.		4. Take care that front part of the sealing band does not become detached from the front part of the roof. Place a heavy thread under the front sealing band to assist you with Step 8.
5. Apply silicone sealant on the whole surface of original roof, spreading it as evenly as possible.		6. Final result of spreading should be as shown in the picture.
7. Now place the chromed roof on the original one, making sure the edges match correctly.		8. Be sure that front edge of the chromed roof is correctly placed under sealing band.
9. To be sure that no air remains under the chromed roof, firmly press each zone of the roof with your arms.		10. Apply some strips of paper adhesive tape, mainly on the corners, to be sure that the chromed part is firmly attached to the car.
11. Apply some more strips on the back also. Wait for at least a 24-hour period before removing paper tape, then clean the chromed roof and replace the sealing ring on side and back edges.		12. Replace the front pillars, safety belts and high passenger handle.
