What is SprintBooster?
Most cars in the 21st century have replaced the more conventional throttle cable for an ECM (Electronic Control Module) that translates how hard the pedal is pushed into electronic signals in order to provide power to the wheels.
The ETC (Electronic Throttle Control), which is also known as Drive-By-Wire, has the unfortunate downside of delayed response and subdued acceleration, which can create problems in certain situations such as up-hill starts, quick gearchanges and overtaking.
Sprint-Booster overcomes this throttle response delay for your MINI by providing crisp, on-tap acceleration for whenever the driver demands it.

Results
- At low revs, the engine responds at approximately half the time in comparison to before.
- The delay time whilst accelerating in 3rd and 4th gear and the engine in the mid-range, is almost zero.
- Big differences in the higher rev range.
- Improved response for downshifts and safer overtaking.
- Overall safety and more fun on the road!
Sprint-Booster is a device that improves acceleration by continuously measuring and converting the digital signal provided by the ETC (Electronic Throttle Control) potentiometer, and providing the ECM (Electronic Control Module) with a new, faster and more response signal.
The design of SprintBooster allows for easy installation in all models, without the need to cut any wires or intervene in the automobile’s electronics (it does not affect other systems such as electronic injection, ABS, etc.).

From a recent customer with the CVT transmission:
"Well I received my Sprint Booster today. Very easy to install. Took all of 5 min for the whole job....
Any way took out for a quick road test. the Unit made a immediate and noticeable difference the car from a standing stop now feels more like when the car would normally hit the meat of the power band. I don't find the throttle overly sensitive. It just feels more right. Much like installing a quick turn throttle on one of my race bikes.
...
Nearly all of the "spool up" time that was originally present is removed. You notice the biggest difference or sensation at light to moderate throttle pressure in "D", what would normally be your take off pressure.
All of the enhancement is off idle to say 3000 rpm (where OEM programmed delays would be present). You do not need to be at or past the detent to feel the effects of the device.
I would say YES there is a performance improvement since the delay in forward acceleration is removed and the car experiences much more urgent forward motion. Not just making noise and waiting. The best way to describe the feeling would be like adding a numerically higher gear to the drive line. But since were not actually changing it were not sacrificing any of the top end performance of the vehicle."
