KONI COILOVER SUSP KIT (HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE) - MINI COOPER & S

The kits include four KONI Sport valved struts and/or shocks featuring threaded adjustable lower spring perches and progressive rate lowering springs designed for performance street driving. The kits are engineered in a joint effort with KONI divisions in Holland, Germany and North America and are tested on Germany's famed high speed Autobahns.

Threaded coil over suspensions not only allow the user to individualize the ride height but also to improve handling through corner weighting or weight jacking. Additionally the car can be run low in the summer and raised for winter driving. These coilovers will lower the ride height approximately 1.5" at the tallest setting.

The kits were designed to give the vehicle a preferred ride height of 1.5" to 2.0" below stock ride height. It is always recommended that the kits be installed with bump rubbers because the threaded range of perch adjustment may allow the vehicle to sit low enough (for show or display purposes) to risk bottoming internally without them. Also, care should be taken in setting ride height so as to not allow oversized rims and tires to rub on the car.

This kit is compatible with all MINI Coupe's built in March 2002 or later. (Not compatible with convertibles.) NOT FOR RACING.

1. How do these shocks in the coilover kit differ from the Koni adjustable shocks?
Similar to the KONI adjustable shocks but with improvements in valving to match the springs for a complete suspension solution.

2. Are the damper gas-hydraulic, high pressure gas, or hydraulic?
Low pressure gas-hydraulic.

3. Are the coilovers twin tube or mono tube?
Twin tube design for improved ride quality over mono tube designs.

4. What is the range of height adjustment (compared to stock)?
Slightly lower than stock to 'too low' - approximately 0.75 to 1.5" lower than stock on our car.

5. How does the softest setting in the coilovers compare to the stock shocks?
Better ride characteristics over stock with better handling. Depending on preference, we recommend you start with full soft or somewhere between full soft and 50%.

6. What is the range of adjustment?
The adjustments offer 100% adjustment or double the stiffness at full scale.

7. What is the spring rate on the coilovers?
The springs are matched to the dampers and optimized for ride quality while offering improved handling. Specific spring rates are not published.

8. How do I adjust the damping?
The fronts are adjusted from the top using the supplier knob. The rears are adjusted by fully compressing the shock and turning.
