Aftermarket replacement Bushing for the Front Lower Control Arm. A cost effective alternative to the factory replacement.

If you have trouble getting your front alignment to spec, or feel your car 'wandering' down the freeway, there is a possibility you need this bushing replaced. If you see a fluid leak from this bracket, it's time to replace it.

Fits:

2002-2006 R50 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Hatchback
2005-2008 R52 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Convertible

For the do-it-yourself'r, the bushing can be replaced from the bracket, but the old will need to be pressed out and the new pressed in with a special BMW Tool. This bushing goes on the rear end of the front lower control arm.

One per side, sold individually.

For the MINI factory replacement, see NMS7610.

To simplify repair, you can replace the entire bracket with the bushing already pressed in. If you prefer to get the factory repalcement bushing with the bracket, see NMS7615L. Replacing the entire bracket with the bushing will save you a lot of time for little added expense. You also won't need the BMW 'special tool' if you replace the entire bracket with bushing already installed.

For the performance minded, see the Powerflex Polyurethane Bushings.

MINI Cooper Control Arm Bushings
Created: June 23, 2015
The MINI Cooper suspension utilizes rubber bushing in both the front and rear control arms. The factory original bushing typically last about 60K miles before you might notice a few clunks and/or squeaks while driving. They are basically used to isolate the different parts from each other and to prevent sound and vibrations coming from the road and tires to travel through the rest of the car. Worn-out front control arm bushing will result in increasing less responsive steering.
