Mini Cooper Big Brake Kit Stoptech Gen1
In performance driving your MINI, you can spend as much time with your foot on the brake as you do on the gas (at least in a Solo event) in either your MINI Cooper or MINI Cooper S. While the stock MINI Cooper brakes are impressive for most street applications it does not take much performance driving before you note the need for better brakes.

Powder coated BLACK, RED, or SILVER calipers with Slotted rotors. Also available with drilled rotors in Silver. See NMB2015 for matching rear rotors.

We recommend ATE Performance Brake Fluid with this kit. ATE® DOT 4 Racing Brake fluid is an ideal choice for handling the high demands placed on your MINI's brake system, regardless of whether you are involved in autocross, road racing or high performance street driving.

Brake fluid should be replaced every 2 years. See ATE Performance Brake Fluid for replacement brake fluid. ATE Type 200 Amber is a high quality performance fluid that will last much longer than the standard DOT4 fluid. This is an ABS friendly fluid.

ATE® Type 200 Amber Fluid has a dry boiling point of 536F and a wet boiling point of 396F which far exceeds standard brake fluids meeting the DOT 4 requirements. This fluid is NOT SILICONE and is compatible with conventional brake fluid. 100% synthetic fluid is specifically designed to resist the high temperatures of racing brakes and yet very suitable for daily driving.

The first ever Mini with 2 engines was produced by the factory in 1963, it was built on the original classic version of the Mini Cooper called the “MOKE”. The Moke was a jeep version of the Mini with intended military applications. It ran the standard 10” wheels and built simple by putting a second engine mounted on the original front subframe in the back of the vehicle. Originally the gear shift linkages were connected together along with the clutch and throttle pedal. This proved to be a bit of as nightmare as it was very difficult to synchronize both engines and transmissions.
