FEATURES

  • These links use heavy duty urethane bushings. The urethane bushings provide much better control than any rubber bushings, but are still easily streetable. Provided with an adequate amount of grease with each bushing for a sqeak-free drive.
  • Strong billet 6061T6 aluminum end-pieces (not welded tube and bolt). Each end is threaded right or left handed. Adjustment procedure is similar to that for tie rods.
  • The center bar is heavy wall heat treated aluminum with a hex on the end for easy adjustment.
  • Made right here in the USA.

After the installation of lowering springs or coilover kit, a vehicle's alignment should always be checked. Once a vehicle is lowered, wheel camber may become excessively negative, meaning the top of the tire is angled inward (toward the center of the vehicle). While some negative camber aids in improving traction and road adhesion, too much can result in compromised handling and accelerated tire wear.

This Rear Adjustable Control Arm Kit provides a simple, affordable solution to correct excessive negative camber. This kit not only assist in adjusting a vehicle's camber back to factory specifications, but they also allow an experienced chassis tuner to utilize the increased adjustment range to "dial-in" a performance-oriented alignment that uses negative camber to maximize a chassis' true potential. With correct alignment, turn-in becomes more precise and handling becomes gratifyingly crisp and predictable. High-speed stability is also enhanced, making this kit a necessity for the serious performance tuner.

By adding a 'pair' of adjustable rear control arms to replace both lower arms, you will be able to adjust the rear camber, but it will also affect the rear toe setting. In order to have independent camber and toe adjustability, you need to replace all 4 stock control arms with adjustable units.

NOTES: On MINIs with the optional Xenon Headlights - there is a 'level sensor' used by the Xenon Headlights that attaches to the Drivers side Rear Upper Control Arm - these Adjustable Control Arms do not have accommodations for attaching this sensor. Most customers simply us a couple of standard 'hose clamps' to affix the sensor to this arm.
