NM Engineering 22mm rear sway bar is guaranteed to make your MINI Cooper Countryman and Paceman more go-kart-like!

Unlike competitor's products, NM Engineering's bar is made of one full solid piece mandrel bent piece with forged ends, not welded plate. This insures the ultimate rigidity and proper torsion transfers throughout the straight section of the bar. The kit features with Aluminum Billet 7075-T6 mounting brackets, equipped with grease fitting for ease of maintenance.

2011-2016 R60 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Countryman
2013-2016 R61 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Paceman

Also compatible with ALL4 models.

With additional rear roll stiffness and 3-position adjustability:

  • stiff = both ends at forward holes
  • soft = both ends at rear holes
  • medium = one at forward and one at rear hole

Installation of the bar produces significantly more neutral handling characteristics.

MINI Cooper Sway Bar

In a front-wheel drive car, all of the steering and power comes from the front wheels. The usual result is that the typical front-wheel car has a tendency to understeer. If the car is going to fast, or turned too abruptly when entering a corner, the car will push ahead in a straight line, rather than turning to follow the direction of the front wheels.  Understeer is what occurs when a car steers less than (under) the amount commanded by the driver. Understeer is a good thing for the average driver turning the average corner, since the car is less likely to swerve or skid, should the driver turn the steering wheel too far or too fast. In fact, even most modern rear-wheel cars are engineered to have a little understeer.
