Hi,  The bike rack is available and would only take a few days to get. Shipping cost is a little high due to the size and it would be going cross country, $314.82.

Question:
Will this fit my 2016 MINI Cooper S Countryman? We purchased 2 cruiser bikes and need a rack for them.
Answer:
This fits the 2011-2016 R60 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Countryman ONLY IF you have the Factory Rear Luggage Carrier (S3ARA) option.
An easy way to tell is by removing both rear tow hook covers of the rear bumper to see a threaded recepticale under both holes.

Question:
Will this bike rack fit a 2020 New MINI Clubman? Are the tow attachment lints the same width apart for the clubman?
Answer:
These racks are only available for the MINI Countryman and Paceman models. It may be due to the bumper structure shape or distance between the holes - but this will not fit a Clubman.

Question:
I bought a similar rack from Mini when I first purchased my Mini Countryman in 2015. The wheel cups are now too small for my son's mountain bike tires, so I am looking for a replacement. Could you let me know the width of the plastic cups that the bike tires sit in so I can determine if this rack would be a better fit? Also it looks like there is a different system for securing the wheels of the bike to the rack. I couldn't see them closely enough from the photos or video on your site to see how they work. Do you have any other photos available that I could look at? My current rack's system for securing the wheels isn't as sturdy as I would like. Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it.
Answer:
We don't have this rack in stock so we are unable to confirm, but from the diagrams and photos, it appears the tire holders are a wide 'V-shaped holder so it won't limit most 'standard' mountain bikes.

I have 2 questions before I place an order for the Mini Countryman Bike Rack OEM R61 Countryman Paceman: 1) Will it fit my 2016 Countryman Cooper (standard MiniCooper Countryman)? 2) Also, the video suggests that I can install it by myself. Do you agree?
Answer:
1. If your 2016 R60 MINI Cooper Countryman has the Factory Rear Luggage Carrier option S3ARA, the G2NMA1195 Countryman Bike Rack will fit.

2. Difficult to say whether you will be able to install this rack without knowing your technical ability. If you can do maintenance and/or basic repairs on your MINI, chances are good that you will be able to install this.

Will this fit a 2016 countryman John Cooper Works? Was the rack preparation kit supplied on all cars?
Answer:
The Rack Preparation was not available on all cars - it would have been an option and at the buyer's request - not very typical for U.S. cars to have this option. You can check yourself by popping off both of the tow hook cover caps on the rear bumper and looking inside there to see if BOTH holes have a threaded insert (Cars without the preparation kit will only have one threaded hole)

Answer:
The rack system you linked is specific to the 2011-2016 R60 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Countryman. 

For your application, you could use any of the racks on THIS PAGE for use with a hitch that can be found HERE

Question:
Bought a bike rack for our 2012 mini countryman from you a few years ago. Our new bikes are 50 pounds each. Can we safely use our mini bike rack.
Answer:
I am unable to find any weight specifications for the bike rack but here is my opinion:

The bike rack itself is fairly heavy so that needs to be considered when determining 'safe' capacity.

I would be comfortable with with one 50 lb bike on the bike rack closest to the bumper.

I would not be comfortable with a second 50 lb bike in the 2nd position away from the bumper.

The following illustration is not about the bike rack, but the concept is the same:

For example, when reviewing tongue weight on a hitch - if the center of gravity of the rack is 12 inches from the receiver, the max tongue weight is 150 lbs. If the center of gravity of the rack is 24 inches from the receiver, the max tongue weight is 50 lbs.

1. Rear hatch mount bike rack
2. Rear Hitch receiver  with Hitch mount bike rack
