The nice thing about small bore mini engines is that a 1098 looks just like an 850. While it may be fun to put twin carbs, a good header, a clone of the 997 Cooper cam and a decent head on an 850 and then set it on a gearbox with a 3.76:1 final drive to reach 75 at the merge point of that on ramp, there are other options!

Thoughts on what an 850 is like to drive @ altitude? I've driven one at sea-level and it was just fine. You can drive like a demon, w/o attracting attention of police.
But I'm at 6500 feet - my 998 does fine, except a little nervous merging onto 75 mph limit freeway up a hill - that's not the best experience (and that freeway is hard to avoid when I am going north).
Not looking for a commuter car, but do want one I'm not worried about taking out.
