Front grilles on the gen2 models are 'model specific' (cooper vs cooper s) and also different for the 07-10 pre lci models vs the 11+ post lci models.  The mounting points are different so they are not interchangeable....

I want to ditch the chrome grille on my '09 non S Hatch in favor of a black grille with driving light mount brackets so I can add driving lights.  There is a great sale on the JCW grill and brackets combo but according to the part description, it won't fit because I do not have the JCW body kit.

Having to order the grille / brackets separately will cost $118 more.  Does anyone happen to know what the issue is with fitment for a grille designed for a JCW car and is this something I can modify to make work?  Thanks.
