Bill....I said I hadn't used K-Line in years. I didn't say I haven't used WW.
I sent my CUB over last autumn with WW. I also bought a 1990 Mini in Japan the previous winter that I shipped direct from Osaka into JAX.     I'd no problems with either.
As long as the cars are genuine, with no Hanky Panky, then the cars should stand any scrutiny.  Only a complete idiot would try to send a younger car now the ports are on the lookout because of the Land Rover and Mpi Mini fiasco.  CBP know what to look for now, so no chance of later cars getting through.
Ive also just shipped another car this week with WW.  Knowing how stringent CBP are, I've made sure there is no question of the cars authenticity.  I will let you know how progress is with this one, once it arrives.
Before you ask...yes...I have a Broker clearing it once it docks. An old friend of yours has kindly offered to collect it from the Docks once it clears.
Jim

jimatabla.. you just said it ALL. you have NOT used  them..in years..    and with  new US CUSTOMS regs like 10 +2 ISF..and export and import customs broker is a MUST.. otherwise.. $5000 fine and car can be SEIZED if NOT filed 2 days prior to the boat sailing.. I only use K line.. these days.. had run in with Walleniuse line.s . they held customer car for FOUR months because they did NOT like the way the vin plate looked.. even though the  number on the frame matched the  UK red V 5.. www.mapcargo.co.uk  is where emma pittiway is working now..  later bc

Why does everyone feel they need to use Phoenix?  There are LOTS of Freight Forwarders in the UK.
Personally, I have any car I'm shipping taken to Southampton Docks, and my preference is WW for shipping.  Ask them to do ALL your UK Export Documentation, AND notify CBP of the arrival of your car.  Normally they charge £35 for this service.  You need to send them a copy of your V5C for them to notify DVLA of the Export of the car.  I've no problems using them, possibly because I used to unload my Transporters at their Berth, and they'd got used to me in years past working in a professional capacity around the Docks.
K-Line also offer this service through their Port Agent, Cory Brothers.
Years since I've used them, so not sure what their Documentation Fees are now.
There are loads of reputable Car Transporter companies who will collect, and deliver your car to the Port.
Check the Ads in Classic Car Weekly, as there are plenty of Collection Agents offering their services. Jim
