I'm not sure but I believe the fee depends on the total amount of the parts order. I have been told by the very helpful people at DHL that it's a brokers fee and only applies to orders over $700/800 I keep forgetting which. I have a commercial building without a mail box. My invoices show a shipping address as well as a billing address. I have to watch the tracking and when my orders clear customs I have to call and pay the brokers fee to keep it moving. They no longer collect on delivery or mail a bill. Since my orders are rarely under $2000. I don't know if there is a magic number where I don't pay a fee. Steve (CTR)

With DHL I had to pay duties when I received the package, I haven't had any bill yet for Fedex duties but who knows. I'll let ya know. Thanks again.

The customs tariff on classic (or some such word) used to be zero....  You can find the exact amount in the Harmonised Tariff Schedule of the USA ... but you'll need a couple of PhDs or a friendly customs officer to find the correct entry.

Don't trust Fedex or such.

Cheers, Ian

So guys, just wanted to reach out and say thanks for the M-Machine contact for the sheetmetal. They actually responded to email and Doreen there is very helpful. All in the panels with shipping were cheaper than what I was quoted in the US so I am happy, especially as the quality is better. They also shipped Fedex and it will be here in only 3 days Not sure if I will have to pay the duties though when they get here.

Yes, google m-machine.

They have email but don't respond, think they are a bit old school that regard.

Like Alex says you will need to call them. Very helpful on the phone.

M-Machine every time.

I've fitted a few and they are utterly superb.  Heritage went to M-Machine for their panels when they recently released the 'new' Mk1 shells, they're that good.

Word of caution though, they are much better to deal with on the telephone than by email - make time to talk to them and it'll be worth it.
