Well said, Bill! When I see one coming down the road, I have the urge to look away. And they aren't "mini" when they are bigger than my daily driver.

Did not know there was such a BINI Mike.

Yesterday I drove by the BMW dealership while in the big city.

I could not believe how ugly those bigger ones are now....I think it's called a "Clubman 4".  Clubman continues to be associated with the word "ugly"  ( although I'm OK with the classic )

Please don't hate us, but my better half has a 2012 Knightsbridge limited edition MINI.

Yes, yes, I would've preferred the real McCoy, but hers is nice too.

We now return you to talk about real Minis ! (MINIs)

spitz..  yea..  when one is moving to the USA .  He   can bring in  ONE car legally that is NOT 25 years and older..  you can import for ONE year and then extend it for 2 more years.. at the end of three years..  you either have to export or pay DOUBLE the duty..  simple process. CBP  just requires copy of importer passport and copy of his airline ticket.. later bc

Bill....this one was imported into Florida originally in 2008 or 07 ( 2000 model )

I forget the term he used, but as it was bought in Europe by a US citizen who lived there and used there for over a year, he was able to import it as (?) property, I forget the term.
Thought you'd be interested in that.  It's now registered here in CA, but was legal in Florida also
