Years ago I had a friend who bought a new 4x4 Bronco. He was on a trip when his rear diff went out. He drove 800 miles back to the dealership on the front diff only—not something you should do.

The service manager said the warranty would cover replacement of the rear diff. My friend asked if they would open up the front diff and check for any damage he may have done driving it 800 miles back to the dealership. This service manager said no, unless there was something wrong with the front diff they're not going to inspect it under the wrranty. My friend snatched the keys back from the service manager and said, "Wait here, I'll be right back."

Assuming you have a 2016 Hartop, the owners manual states:

"Steptronic transmission: transporting your vehicle"

"Your vehicle must not be towed if the front wheels are touching the ground."

I would recommend the use of a dolly to lift the front axle off the ground....

I've read the manual, I was just curious if anyone had tried it out.

Check the owners manual. Don't rely on advise on a forum! Better yet call MINI USA
