Alex: the link you posted takes me (us?) to a page that shows 12 videos. One has to use a (wee) bit of thought to figure out which one is of Gertie and the 360 camera. "Isn't-a" probably picked the wrong one or lost track of your thread topic. More videos (non-related) have since been posted.

Specialist, there is just so much you don't know. To start with, you probably don't know any 1275 Minis. For example, my 1275 will do considerably more than 60 mph, will do 60 at around 4000 rpm, does not smoke on acceleration (or deceleration) and does not and has not ever leaked oil. It has also never been rebuilt, not even a valve job.

The narrator was laughing when he introduced the yellow mini, and he seemed cannot believe that the mini has 4 cylinder engine, of course he has no clue what 1275cc means, he is after the horse power. Funny when he mentioned the horse power of all other cars, MC= 1000Hp, formula=1200Hp etc and when it came to the mini ,the horse power is 75Hp...going 60 at 8K RPM, hahah omg! I'm like, uh oh, did they invited the mini to the Silverstone to be embarrassed in front of many spectators??  gosh,not nice. 
i still love the classic mini.

ps: ...and that's the only 1275 mini i know that does not smoke when revving.  ...alleluia

As all of my chums in the real world, on Facebook, and some of you on here know, my Austin A30 was entered into the Silverstone Classic Celebrity Challenge Trophy last weekend.

Piloted by racing legend Anthony Reid, we managed to set her up to be superbly balanced and visibly quicker in the corners than most of (if not all) of the field, but lost out in a straight line due to a slightly down on power engine.

Third in the Celebrity qualifying and sixth in the owners race was a superb result, and Anthony went on to take the lead a few times dicing with the likes of Steve Soper, Martin Donelly and Wayne Gardner throughout.  A spin two corners from home while fighting over second place (the driver who settles for an easy third, even in the p*ssing rain might as well retire) dropped us to 8th, but it was a superb result for a bloke in shed against the Works outfits.

Jason qualified and finished sixth in the 'owners' race, dicing with the leaders and circulating 2+ seconds a lap faster than the majority of the season regulars. 

We set the fastest laps in both races for our team, and came away with trophies.

Silverstone themselves put a 360° camera in the car during practice on Thursday, and it's quite a ride.
