I'll be there. I'm the LAST guy to be part of a NEW mini event, but it is potentially a world record. I'll post pictures of the event. I'm curious how many will recognize or respect the roots.

Not only that, but you'll be able to get matching plywood grained floor mats.

I know quite a few people who have gone and do go to this event.  It's always struck me as being a bit staged and a painfully made-up 'record', but the attendees have fun and that's the main thing.  The Bini owners with their faux cameraderie fored upon them by BMW probably raise an eyebrow at a bunch of folks drinking beer and mucking about in a carpark for three days, or driving along in a long line though the moutains for hours on end, but each to their own.

Mihgt be quite a giggle to get together a bunch of proper Minis to turn up next year and show the Binis what real fun is.

Just don't turn up as a trailer queen...

Should I expose my SON Marshall early and get one of these...  Most of those people have no idea about the heritage of what used to be a small car.  The manufacturer communities are good for selling cars but nothing will beat this one.  IMO of course.  Borrowed image.

I don't know that picture fits quite well with the English slang for Mack //www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=macking

Mini's are like buses they come along in a bunch

some silly goal to get a bunch of Minis to go across some silly bridge. sounds downright painful of an event.

If you are a car manufacture and want to develop a vibrant, robust, healthy, a bit macho maybe theme to your cars I do not think having this picture of a mini on the mack home page helps that cause.
