The only Clubman I knew of was a car that had a 1275 S engine in it with a completely rotten body and rear subframe.  I think the gov't pulled the possibility of that car being registered due to safetly reasons....plus ugly nose and purple colour !

There could be another.....remember, we're the same size as Texas.

Jim in Ohio

Just watch any Barret/ Jackson auction and see what cars bring that can be authenticated to any stars previous ownership or association

Say what you want but the Beach Boys were the real deal

Yes, it is in really bad shape for that price. My guess is that it won't come close to that if it does sell.

I don't see the attraction of a vehicle in terrible condition because of some silly beach boys connection.. at the end of the day,. beach boys or no beach boys the vehicle is in terrible shape.

I have seen this one up close and it's the real deal. The old man who owned it was sick and I suspect that he has passed and a new owner has it. The VIN is only 2 numbers away from ours. I told the old man more about that Moke than he knew. The current owner doesn't seem to know much about it. As far as the price goes, that's alot of money for something that's a major project. What makes it even worse is that I'm sure whoever restores it won't have enough information to do it right. I'm certain they won't get the graphics right. Anyway, it will be interesting to watch. Perhaps when we finish I should write a book on them?

From what i have heard most never got to the Beach Boys. Still a great piece of history though and only a few made and left. Like they say "find me another one for sale".

JimOhio..  $25k IF you did all the paint, body ect YOURSELF.. parts alone would be $25k for this..  Mini Mover sold me that perfect moke from Kevin C. from Ontario for $26k.as part of the MOKE CAPER   and  he spent $60k plus on it..  later b c

Hugh was good enough to show pics of his @ MM East

I wanted to make him an offer but he said, he was going to restore it himself and then put it on Barret Jackson

Certainly does if it is the real thing.
I expect Dr Mini to chime in soon right Hugh !!!!. It is just down the road from me if anyone is interested in me looking at it.
