Can someone enlighten me about what a classic mini Coopers S is??  how does it differ from other minis??? as far as i know, all minis have same shape and sizes. Then someone gave it a name "Cooper S" and now became a different mini?? wtheck...   i heard hat a cooper S has a 1275engine and a front disc brake, well , i can easilly convert my 1977 mini to a cooper S, i already have a disc brake in front and just drop a 1275cc in and there you go!!! the question still lingers in my mind, what is a cooper S and why is it so special??? Even Mr. Reid said with cooper S,  quote "performance is everything" unquote.  what difference does it posses?? is it supercharged?? if it's because of the disc brake from 1970 that's in it, then it's no good anymore because it's and old disc brake from many many years ago.  a new set of disc brakes is even better. 

i thinks it's just the name...nothing else.








a mini is a mini....period!

Two years ago, my friend sold his 1968 7 port Cooper S. The same car freshened up, just sold on BAT for darn close to 75 k CDN. Fantastic.
