Thanks again, mean while I'm trying to find out more about the new engines previous life, this info would probably tell me a lot. New to the Mini world and already enjoying the mechanical side. The engine swap has gone smooth and for the most part easy. At idle and short run time, the new engine sounds great. Shopping for a new pulley as of now. Thanks again for your time.

Thank you for the reply. Weird that they would change an internal engine part for an automatic, instead of changing just the pulley, engineering must had a reason to do so. Ok, so in order to make this work, I would need the pulley for an automatic engine correct ? Or is it more serious than that.
