I would take it right back to the garage to see what they did wrong!  Oh, toss the two nuts at the end of the plunger... even most shops get those wrong!

It may well be that the large "nut" on the clutch cover side has become loose and wound itself all the way up against the clutch cover.
This will create a rock solid clutch pedal

Usually there is a lock nut on there to prevent this…sometimes missing

Let people know where you are. Maybe someone with better Mini knowledge will help.

If you are going to do any work on the car, purchase a workshop manual. It doesn't answer (and fix!) all the problems, but it will help. See part number 646 on this web site.

KLBmini.. first thing you need to do is fill out your profile .. next where are you on planet earth?/  open the bonnett.. and on the left is the slave cly and slave cly arm.. to clutch.. use WD 40 on the arm and crow bar to move back and forth..  seems like your car has NOT been used in LONG LONG time..   later bc www.montecarlomini.com

Thanks, also I'm not a mechanical person, so what would the clutch cover look like in a 1987 mini?

I had that happen. Shaft was rusted inside the clutch cover. Spraying oil and tapping at an angle from below with a piece of re-rod or other suitable iron freed it up

After getting my 1987 Mini Austin back from a garage the engine won't start and the clutch pedal won't budge..
Any tips????
