Those rear bump stops were commonly fitted to Oz built hydro Minis but are NLA here now.
I needed a pair 3 years ago, couldn't find any  and had to settle for the competition ones.

Item 77 was what we knew as "Scandinavian" bump stops.. preferred replacement for the jelly roll type.

Interesting... You must have an unusual car. Part numbers 21A1728 (RH) and 21A1729 (LH) BUFFER, bump stop. (For headlight alignment regulations in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.)

They are NLA, but maybe ebay in Scandinavia would turn something up.


Edit: I just googled the part numbers and came up with a bunch of possible sources. You'll need to turn on the translator for some for some of them unless you read Dutch.

Have you taken one off and looked for part numbers stamped on it? That would be by first instinct if you want the same type.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions.  I guess I will have to order one of the kits that has been suggested.  I just really wanted to keep the type that was originally installed.  But it doesn't look like that is going to be possible.

Also in case you were wondering, the picture I posted is not of my car.  I still have a wet suspension.  That picture just shows what a pristine version of the bump stop I am looking for looks like

It's also really easy to replace the bump stops with ones available at any NAPA or Autozone if you keep the teardrop shaped mounting tabs from the worn out ones.

A quick look shows that right now a pair of special tuning progressive bump rubbers plus brackets for the front upper arm cost $30 USD while the rubbers themselves are $19 USD each and the rear set is $57 USD.

Again, this kit was originally created by casual robbery of the existing BMC parts bin, with some small fabricating skills and your local mini-MG parts supplier you can have a new pair of bump stops in no time.

Looks like it's to stop the spring falling out on full droop? Be good place to actually mount a bump stop though? Better than bashing the boot floor?

Mini's are like buses they come along in a bunch

To be fair Alex, all of that stuff where the displacer should be looks wrong.  I would not even admit it if I had a car with steel springs, even if it rides very nicely. I'm sure the spacer is there to make up for the difference in rear hydro arms vs. dry trailing arms.

The Special Tuning rear hydro bump stops I'm familiar with are C-AJJ3313. More vertical "barrel" shaped.

That bump stop looks very familiar, though I have only had cars that came with the common items like the part number quoted by Cheleker. The Special Tuning bump stop kit from years ago is basically the bracket that the bump stop you have is bonded to, but with a knob welded to it to allow figment of MG B or Midget rear bump stops. The spot welded seam where the bump stop impacts needs slight modification for the MG bump stops.

The stock one would be 21A1520, (Use SEARCH to find a photo unless the OZ cars used something entirely different.

Hello All!

I have a 1970 Austin Mini K (Australia), and I am currently working on the hydro suspension.  My question is in relation to the bump stops on the rear.  I can't seem to find ones that match what is currently on my car.  They appear to be more of a donut shape if you were to turn it on its side.  I have a picture of one from a different website.

Does anyone know what type of bump stop this is, and where to find a replacement would be?
