I am always in for a trade as i have more large journal cranks than I will ever use. This one is very nice meaning the taper is clean and mags out perfect...

What might you have for trading stock??

I would expect if you measure the distance between thrust faces it will be from a AA closed back type block. Over the years I have found both large and small journal 1275 cranks in AA autos. They would be pre roll radius cranks not cross drilled or heat treated. I have had the large journals both off set ground to stroke and simply ground to small journal to use a Sprite rod. I used one of the small journal ones in a vintage race engine. After a Jefferson 500 win I removed the engine and found the crank cracked and machining the thrust washer on that side. I knew I had extra end float before pulling the power unit. If you don't have a plan for yours let me know perhaps I have some race parts we can trade. Steve (CTR)

measure the journals.

I'm thinking it's a later crank with the 12 G and maybe Austin 1300/ austin america here in the states.

Just a shot in the dark. Could this be an Innocenti crank?

if it helps, I think the en16 replaced the en40B of the MK 1/2 minis. So that might give you an approximate date to start with.

Or I could be totally wrong.

maybe thinking of nitriding vs tuftriding.

Found this old post at theminiforum.  Doesn't confirm anything though

I have a perfect 12G1392 crankshaft I found in my shop and I can't figure out what it came out of. Cast into the crank is 12G1392 and EN16T. I clearly understand what the EN16T means, so no issue there... I just can't find any information anywhere on a 12G1392 and what it came out of.

The crank has large rod journals, so clearly not a Cooper S crank.

I can find information on a CAM1392, but that is a small journal crankshaft, so that is a different crank altogether.

Has anybody seen any data or information on a 12G1392??

I am thinking that it came out of a AA block, but I have't put a dial indicator on it yet to determine its exact stroke...

Ideas on what it might be?
