Speaking of sun roofs I have removed a full length wabasto electric sun roof. It is complete with harness and all hardware. The cover is black and has pulled in about 1/2 inch about mid way on each side. I understand the covers are available new. There is no sign of rust or leakage in the sunroof or roof panel. The head liner came out in good shape could be used as a template. I plan to build a wooden box to store and ship it in. I'd like to get $500. plus cost of shipping or local pickup. My contact info is in my profile. Steve (CTR)

I plan to make a full size template of the roof opening before having it filled in.

mike,
there was another post about that car as it was a re run on tv.  I actually called to inquire about buying the car, but never heard back. My thought is that they, the TV production company is restoring the car to resell for some kind of profit. Although it was a MK 2 S, it appeared to have some period mods, like the wabasto sunroof, and maybe some dash mods. I wish someone from the show would have called me back.

Last night on American Picker, February 20, they came upon a MkII mini cooper S. It had all the typical rust. They bought it for $5000 with no D***ering. It was presented mostly accurate with some great background clips on the history of minis.
