Those crazy Aussies didn't sugar coat the fact that they had to modify the shell. (Love how they try their best to explain everything.) I am pretty sure Moog wanted to avoid it as well. He enjoys his car, and the whole reason why this came about is because of mechanical sympathy. (As far as I can deduce.) Mechanical sympathy is something that I need to work on in my daily driver.

John if you are referring to "pocketing" the rack and pinion up into the floor i am not fond of that either as it changes the steering geometry angles and the stock Mini steering geometry works well imo.
Hope the baby is doing better.

Steve Alexander on the West coast builds frames also Watson? in the UK and plenty of Mini owners have done D series swaps using their Mini sub frames and Mini brakes. If you are going FWD getting the B series 180 hp plus to the ground is difficult a D series with around 130 hp is far more civilized. RWD and AWD are a different story.

I have a feeling that part 4 is going to be later in the season, but it is hard to understand the Austrailian language. LOL

I really like how they didn't get it to magically run with pixy dust. (Unicorn dust for real MCM fans.) Moog was genuinely disappointed but explained his optimism. It is entertaining but realistic to a degree. I found these guys when one of you nutters hooked me on Bad Obsession's project Binky. So thanks for that.

The last video really sums it all up! Its Doable but its ALOT of work!
Square peg round hole.
1-10 in difficulty = rated as 11
Not a weekend project.
Nicely details what all is really involved in the full swap.

I like the work the MCM guys do. Watching the supercharged Mini video was pretty cool too. I am happy to see someone going through the build process of Honda swapping a Mini.

Yeah, they do pretty good at instruction. I was pretty bold on my request for O's, I know. I look at it as if it should be, "look but don't touch."

thanks a lot for sharing this great videos. I watched a couple of their builds and they are very entertaining and, above all, instructive. It kind or reminds me of some of the UK shows (Car SOS, For the Love of Cars......)I watch regularly,

Hello folks MCM Season 9 has arrived. //bit.ly/2knVXgO
It is not your car, so please keep your O's to yourself. (About someone else's car I mean.) Our awesome hosts get a nod as well in the first episode. Kudos Mini Mania and now you may have to open up a satellite store down under.
