Very valid points... This car most certainly will lead a quite life in limited use near retirement, on Sunny Days to  Local shows.  Easy outings.  wanting a nice wheel that fits and is 'original' as most of the rest of the car is very original too!

The proper Mini factory jacking system lifts both wheels on one side together...

Means a bit more shuffling if you get a front flat .... but then considering the number of flats I've had in almost half a century of Mini use (can't recall the last one) the standard wheel with a 145 (or even the 5.00-10 I carried for years) is a pretty good option...

Cheers, Ian

Hopefully a flat will be on a rear tyre

Why not use a 4.5 S rim with 145 on it?

Already have 5 - 165' Dunlops on hand!

Might have to settle for a normal 3.5 x 10 that we already have.

Very Very good point considering the Boot board is original + in great shape we will want a Spare combo that fits.

So now = Needing 1 ... 3.5 x 10 Cooper S Spare rim.  LLP 882 as a spare.

I use a 3.5 LLP 882 as a spare. Never used it, but it does fit under the bootboard.

Like Ian states, 4.5 'S' rims and 165 tires won't fit under the bootboard. I had to make up my own structural piece by making up a frame work and topping it off with a 1/8" piece of masonite which still is a tight fit. Randy

"...Still looking for a 5th single. Maybe Even a single 3.5 would work.."

Don't forget that a 4.5 with a 165 tyre won't fit under the standard boot board.... (and not all 3.5 non S wheels will fit over the discs).  A 4.5 with 145 tyre will fit the standard boot config.

Cheers, Ian

There should be a part number on them. LLP 883 for 4.5 inch and LLP 882 for 3.5 inch. Stamped on the front lug that holds on the hubcap.

3.5" S wheels would have the same 9 holes around the circumference as the 4.5.... for ID purposes...
3.5" S wheels were standard on S... 4.5 options I believe

Don't know for sure...= but either way they are' REALLY' rough + Rusty...  chunks missing.

Were 3.5 the factory off the line wheel?  and the 4.5 the "accessory upgrade?"

Clarity will be great!

Have a set of Dunlops waiting to mount up!

Gathering parts , Preparing to put a 68 S back on the road.  The car came with rough set of 3.5 x 10's Would like to find a set of 4.5-10's to put back on the car.

Very willing to buy singles, and in near any condition if they are restorable.

Please let me know if anyone has any available!
