Well its' about. 2 months until blast off for MM East in Columbus OH

An easy drive for me, cross into Trump country at Buffalo NY, down the 1~90 past Erie PA, jump on 1-270 at Cleveland, wave at my friends at Mid Ohio as l pass and the an hour later arrive in Columbus OH

Once again l will be one of only a few Canadians attending, not sure why more of us don't show up

Maybe the high cost of the U S Dollar, like your $5.00 Hamburg turns out to be $7.37, and on and on

Also border hassles at the U S Borders as the BP officers are getting real picky with foreign cars

And maybe just the economy in General, pretty tough on a young family to come up with $500.00 - $600.00 to attend a 3 day event when you are (they) trying to make ends meet

Anyone reading this & making in excess of $100,000 a year just wouldn't understand

I'm told just after the first of the year the hotel will be announced.

With the holidays planning meetings are on hold, although assigned individual plans are being pursued and checked out. 
I'm also "somewhat out of the loop" , being in Arizona and flying back for planning meetings is tough. I'm spoon feed information and am told what I can and can not say and when to post it.
When I know, I'll post it.

Minigiant, obviously you have never hosted a national Mini Meet. There is a lot of things that go into hosting an event like this and it takes time and dedicated folks on the ground running. It is great that the MMW folks have theirs all wrapped up and everything is posted...YEA for them. As for planning your time off for the event and travel arrangements, it should be easy. They have posted the dates...CHECK! They have posted the city...CHECK! Then what is the problem? You know when it is happening and where it is happening so go ahead and mark your calendar and figure the mileage to Columbus Ohio. Oh, you don't know if it will be a Holiday Inn Express or a Marriott? Perhaps a Motel 6? Who gives a rats ass what hotel they end up at. If you don't like the hotel or the rates, let me tell you, Columbus Ohio has hotels of every variety and pretty near every price level. Heck, they even have camping there. I know one thing for sure, and that is the Ohio clubs hosted the first Mini Meet East and several of them along the years. They know what they are doing and they put on a great event, bar none! Takes time and effort to do this and I am confident they will have another great event. Rant over...

I have been trying to get information about the Mini Meet East in Columbus, Ohio this summer. I know the dates, but there has not been any other information. I keep seeing threads that there is a hotel and still working on getting the best deal, but that was months ago. If you see Mini Meet West 2017, there is a complete itinerary about the event. Please share the event info as soon as possible as some of us need to plan time off and work out travel details.
