Wilwoog Big Brake Kit Forged Billet DynaPro 4 Piston Calipers The DynaPro four-piston radial mount caliper is a combination of process and design. This eliminates the stresses and interruptions to the internal grain structure that occur when machining a straight block billet.

MINI Cooper Cylinder Head Performance Improvement
Created: January 06, 2006
It is really un-nerving for me to think about all the conversations I have with people that think that simply installing a bigger camshaft, a smaller supercharger pulley, a high flow exhaust or a better intake will be “THE” answer to more performance. The over-used statement that the internal combustion engine is a simple ‘air pump’ never seems to get the point across. The Engine is really a complex number of components that MUST work together to produce the power to turn the crankshaft, that turns the transmission that turns the wheels that move the car. It is simplistic to think that simply changing one component without considering the rest will result in the optimum performance increase.

Mini Cooper Oil Change Tip & Hints - R50/52/53 Cooper & S
Created: October 11, 2011
Frequently, the canister cover will be very difficult to break free.  Use a breaker bar with CAUTION!  You may need a low profile' socket due to the limited space available. If you loosen the filter canister cover enough to break the seal, it will help drain the oil from the filter as you drain the oil pan.  Less mess later! When replacing the O-ring, save the old one just in case (will explain later). When replacing the O-ring on the canister cover, make sure you lubricate the O-ring with PLENTY of fresh oil before you install it, and lubricate again after it is in place.  If you fail to do this, the O-ring will bunch up and cause a leak! The new oil filter should be 'pre-seated' into the base and cover before installation.  Take the filter (plastic side down) and press firmly into the base until it is fully seated.  Remove and do the same into the cannister cover.  This reduces the resistance from initial seating.  You can leave the filter seated into the cover and screw the cover back onto the base, or you can leave the filter in the base fully seated and screw the cover back onto the base.

Quaife Limited Slip Differentials - Classic Mini Cooper
Created: January 26, 2006
The Quaife Differential powers both drive wheels under nearly all conditions, instead of just one. With an ordinary open differential, standard on most cars, a lot of precious power is wasted during wheelspin under acceleration. This happens because the open differential shifts power to the wheel with less grip (along the path of least resistance). The Quaife, however, does just the opposite. It senses which wheel has the better grip, and biases the power to that wheel. It does this smoothly and constantly, and without ever completely removing power from the other wheel.
