The MINI Maniacs returned to Laughlin in November. The weekend adventure included drives on Historic Route 66, wild burros in Oatman, Arizona, and lunch at Pirate Cove Resort.

Reid makes Mini history in La Carrera Panamericana
Graham Reid SCMM's Graham Reid of Heritage Garage scored an amazing victory in the legendary Mexican road race. It's a story worthy of a Hollywood screenplay, when a chance meeting turns into a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Reid and a historic victory for a Mini Cooper. MINIs hit the Streets of Willow
StreetsOfWillow SCMM members took to the Streets of Willow again in November. The track day, put on by Extreme Speed Tracks Events, gives drivers an opportunity to improve their high-performance driving skills in a safety of a controlled environment.
Help us fill holiday food boxes on Dec. 16th
roosters2011 The Rooster Foundation's annual holiday food drive is set for Dec. 16th at The Second Harvest Food Bank in Orange County. Join your fellow MINI Maniacs for a morning of fun, filling 4,000 food boxes with a holiday meal for a family of eight. Details in this issue of SCMM News. This has become a popular event among club members, led by our own Lowell Dickson, who is a member of the Rooster Foundation.
Registration now open for Mini Thunder IV
Thunderhill Stormin' Norman's Mini Thunder IV is coming back to Thunderhill Raceway Park on Feb. 17th. Registration for this all-Mini/MINI high-performance track experience is now open for the first 120 participants to sign up. Details inside this issue!
SCMM Holiday Party / Motor4Toys set for Dec. 2nd
toys4tots Two great events on the same day! Join us at the Motor4Toys car show in the morning where we'll drop off toys for charity, then continue on to Motoring Magic in Thousand Oaks for the club's annual holiday party and white elephant gift exchange. Santa Anita tickets selling out fast!
SantaAnita This year's Santa Anita Day will celebrate SCMM's 10th anniversary. To mark this milestone in club history, the party is moving up to the Club Plaza level overlooking the racetrack. Seating is limited in this exclusive area of Santa Anita and tickets are selling out fast. ChrisCooperMINI The San Diego area members will be celebrating one year of their monthly breakfast meet-ups on Saturday, January 5th! To mark the occasion, Area Coordinator June Medved has planned a MINI Breakfast Jubilee Brunch. The location is Gordon Biersch Brewery & Restaurant, 5010 Mission Center Road. Plan to meet at 10 a.m., brunch starts at 11 a.m. Check the Regional Events Forum for more details.
