Great but with difficulty installing

I bought this to make my R56 mini special. This product works great with any 3 inch magnetic badge. The only issue I have is the installing. The R56 grill is a bee hive pattern. So I followed the instruction and remove the front grill put the holder on and use the screw provided to tighten it to place. The screw (even though I used the short ones) were too long. After maxing out the screw it's still loose on the grill.
Luckily, I save a rubber mount from the rear windshield wiper assembly (which I replaced) and placed it in there as part of the washer and it's held tightly now.
Please check the length of the screw and see if you can send even shorter ones.
